Getting to know the Executive Board
I have been working in the teaching field for 14 years, and have been a member of PEAL/OEA/NEA for 12 years. I have worked as an
executive board member for the last 2 years.
While on the executive board, I have supported and attended all board meetings and representative meetings. I have also attended state and regional training. I plan to learn more about how PEAL can best serve its local members through a better understanding of OEA & NEA. Being on the board has increased my knowledge of OEA & NEA tremendously!
The most memorable PEAL related thing that has happened since I have been on the board was our budget info meeting at Charles McCauley and team from OEA about GPS.
The funniest thing that has happened while at a PEAL related function was at one of the Rep Meetings. The building lights went out, emergency lights came on, people started to evacuate, and we adjourned out on the sidewalk.
